Of all things, for some reason this dilemma is bothering me the most at the moment.
My grandmother is coming into town (from 3,000 miles away) in 2 weeks, followed by my MIL and SIL a few weeks later. They are each staying for a week. I have absolutely no idea wtf to do while they are here. I've been a total homebody lately...but I'd hate to bore them to death with my current "schedule" and the thought of awkward silences is driving me BSC.
My grandmother entertains herself at home by playing around on Pogo and FB...but all we have is a laptop here and all she has is a desktop so she obviously won't be bringing that along. I feel bad that she won't be able to mess around on the computer if she gets bored, but we use our laptop as a alarm clock as well so its in our room and not in a common area.
We don't have cable either...we watch Netflix from our Xbox, but that's about it. I'm a total night-owl, so TV is in our room instead of the living room.
Yeah, our house is super boring. And we live in WA, so its always rainy and gross and there really isn't much to do at all.
Those who are having relatives visit...how do you plan on entertaining them?
Re: No idea how to entertain visiting relatives....
"Want to clean my house?"
I don't know how i'm going to deal with visitors that aren't staying over... namely my IL's. They annoy the peecrap out of me in just seeing them for a half hour.

My ILs are coming for 2 wks and staying with us
, followed by my family, so I had the same questions!
DH and I made a list of indoor/outdoor things we need help with around the house. We also told them to bring any books/crafts/etc that they might be interested since we told them we probably wouldnt be going out much, and wouldnt be entertaining much.
Does your grandma knit or sew or do anything like that? Maybe you could request her to create a blanket or something like that for you? Or do any of you ILs/grandma cook? If so, we asked our ILs to bring their favorite recipes, and asked MIL to be in charge of dinner while she's here.
