Baby Laundry Soap

Yea or Nay, borax in homemade laundry soap for washing baby things?

My regular recipe is grated Dr. B's baby mild, baking soda, and borax, with a little geranium oil for fragrance. I'm leaving the geranium oil out for the babies, but I'm not sure about the borax.

Re: Baby Laundry Soap

  • I haven't used it on baby clothes myself, but the borax website has directions for soaking and washing baby clothes using it.

  • My recipe is equal parts borax, washing soda and grated castille soap and that's what I use for all of our laundry (except for CDs) and I haven't had any problems. LO has eczema and since switching to this recipe we haven't had any issues.

  • Ok, good :)

I figured it would be ok, because I have eczema and allergies and it's fine for me, but I just wanted to double check with some of you more experienced mamas.
