**Updated** XP: Assisted Hatching and Medrol

I ended up calling and my RE only prescribes the doxycycline.  Whew!!  I feel so much better.

For our IVF cycle we are doing ICSI and assisted hatching based on my age...

I was given an rx for the antibiotic doxycycline but wasn't given a script for medrol which I've read is standard for assisted hatching.  Now I'm freaking out as this steroid is thought to possibly decrease the chance of an antibody/immune response to your embryos.

I would need to be on 16mg for 5 days.  

Should I call the emergency line and ask the doctor on call or just wait and call in the morning?  It's still early enough that if needed I could get the script tonight.

When in doubt... call.

We did ICSI with assisted hatching for our first IVF, I did not take medrol.

I did assisted hatching for my FET and didn't take medrol.  Definitely call and double check if it makes you feel better.

It is standard at our clinic but one of the drugs the nurses say is overkill.  That being said, I'd call because of all the "extras" I think medrol is the most likely to help.

I took Medrol with all of my protocols (did IVF 4 times) and only did AH once.  It is standard at my clinic.

Medrol is also standard at my clinic (w/ or w/out AH). As the other ladies have said though, give them a call just to double check.
