I'm thinking of getting a tattoo to celebrate Pilar. Because they are forever I've always taken years to decide what to do in the past. What have you all seen that were great and what were failures? I'm thinking from just her name and date of birth to a copy of her footprint(s). DH is not a tattoo fan, but he accepted me with the two that I had before we met so he'll have to live with this one.
Re: Tattoo Celebrating Baby
Now that we are done having kids, DH is getting a bar code that will read mine, his, DS and DD birthday. I have a couple tattoos but in my old age, I am much more picky about what I want and think I am done with them. I have one on my wrist that I hate and want to get covered into a sun so that will be my next/last thing done....maybe.
PS....I absolutely LOVE the name Pilar! My mom is Puerto Rican (my dad German) but I was raised very American. I would have loved to give my children latino names but I married the most white Irish guy....it would have been awkward - Guillermo McCormick - LOL.
Anyway, post a pic of your tat once you get it - it may inspire me!
My husband is about as white as you can get! Not to mention Pilar is looking more like him than me. I never expected to have a baby with light hair. She may even be a red head which would be really cool, but DH says there are no red heads in his family. I guess there are a lot in my family, four of my grandfathers siblings were red heads. I heard it takes genes from both sides to get red heads.
