I held a baby

My DH cousin was pregnant with me when I lost Sydney and her pregnancy was the only one I have been okay with. Well she brought her son into work since she works with me and I held him he is the first baby I have held since Sydney  and I was totally okay with it. I think I am okay with it because of the situation and we were pregnant at the same time. I am pretty proud of myself. He now is 1 month old and weighs 10 lbs. Sydney weighed 10lb 3 oz when i had her.

I am sad because I miss my baby but I am happy for her and her DH. I think this was a huge step for me. I just wanted to share.

DS- Brenden born 11/13/93 Missed miscarriage on March 6, 2007 @ 9 weeks D&C on March 8th 2007. Riley Annalise born 2/25/08 ( 3 weeks early weighing 8 lbs 12.8 oz.) Chemical pregnancy 3/2010. Sydney Adriana born sleeping on 9/30/11 weighing 10lbs 3 oz at 38wks 4 days. Trinity Alivia born via c section at 36 wks 4 days weighing 9 lbs. 5.7 oz. She is our amazing rainbow baby!!!     That's a huge step! I'm proud of you. What helped me in the prepping to hold my co-worker's baby was to remind myself that I wasn't holding MY baby and it made it a lot easier.

    Good for you! I still haven't held a baby, unless you count my friend's 1 yo. This is a big step, Heather. So proud!

    So proud of you!  That's a really huge step.  Hoping to have the strength to do that myself someday!
