Update -- I am back home from surgery and relaxing on the cozy couch. Surgery went really well. They were able to removed the lodged stone, removed all the stones from my left kidney and even gave MH pictures of the stones and the inside of my kidney and ureter! The nurse who took care of prior to surgery was exceptionally kind and understanding and had the anesthesiologist get me anxiety meds ASAP. I also usually get very nauseated from the anesthesia, but remembered to tell them this ahead of time and they were able to give me 3 different kinds of anti-nausea medications that helped me wake up feeling so much better. I am still in a significant amount of pain (even after a morpheine shot, Percocet, and 2 other kinds of pain meds I dont remember the name of), but I am hoping that this pain will subside in the coming days. My throat kills from being intubated, but such is life when it comes to surgery like this. I think the staff felt most sorry for me when my doctor told them I would be back next week for round #2. Mostly, it meant so much to me to be able to read all of your well wishes and encouragement right before going in to surgery. Having this type of support is so wonderful and I cannot thank each and every one of you enough. I feel so blessed to have all of you behind me cheering me on! Now I'm off to rest and have MH rub my feet and watch some movies :-)
I feel terrible for being so MIA lately. I know I have missed out on so much and so many new ladies joining the board....I have been lurking a little and feel like I don't know so many of you (I hate that anyone new has to join at all).
I also want to thank anyone who responded to my post on Sunday night about how to cope with friends who are moms. Your responses did not go unnoticed and I thank you for all your support, suggestions and kind words. I was feeling pretty sick Sunday night and zonked out from the pain meds pretty quickly.
Today is surgery #1 for my kidney stones. I am really nervous and could use any spare thoughts, prayers or good vibes sent my way. I get super anxious right before they take me into surgery and hate waking up from the anesthesia, they are my biggest points of dislike. Surgery #2 is tentatively scheduled for a week from today. Anything good you can send my way would be so appreciated!
Mad love to all of you!!

Thinking about you today, M., and I hope it all goes really well for you!
I know you're nervous, but you'll be fine, and it will all be over soon.
We lost our first (EDD 07/23/12) after finding out at 12 weeks there was no longer a heartbeat. Our rainbow was born 05/22/13 and was worth all we went through.
