So tomorrow I have a very busy day. I have to go in for my annual pap at 9:00 and I have a follow up with my RE to get my blood work results and an ultrasound at 11:15. Two doctors "down there" in one day! I am just not looking forward to my OBGYN annual. I know I have to get it done because I've had cervical dsyplatia before and had a cone biopsy to get pre-cancerous cells removed. So I'm a HUGE advocate of getting your annual pap! But I just hate being the ONLY non-pregnant person under the age of 60 in the waiting room. I'm just going to do my best to ignore all of the happy pregnant women around me.
Anyone else dread going in for their annual pap to your OBGYN office?
Re: Annual OBGYN Visit
After about a year of TTC, my OB was having me do some bloodwork/tests in her office. It was so hard to be there with all of the pregnant ladies, some of them teenage girls (EHHH). My OB never gave me any reason for tests, wouldn't call me back when I tried to get results so I moved on to an RE which is probably the best decision yet. I will have to find a new OB when my annual pap comes up in Nov.

When I went into my OBGYN's office last month, it was like pregnancy slapped me in the face! They have chairs to wait in in the hallway after the nurse takes all your vitals, before they put you in a room. I was sitting in between two very pregnant women, one of which had a (very cute) 2 year old in tow, while the frame of all the just born babies was directly in front of my face. This was my follow up appt. to my HSG, and I already knew my tube was blocked. It sucked big time!
I hear ya on the dread! Good Luck tomorrow!

I have mine on May 18th and I am also dreading it.
I typically dread it though. No matter how often my legs are in stirrups (lately more than ever) I always find it an awkward experience and get super anxious.
This time I also worry that they will find some fluke issue - ya know, since I need an updated exam and pap to go forward on treatments.
I did make this appointment at a smaller, satelite office vs. the main office - which I hope will cut back on some of the pregnant people (espcially the younger, oops ones.)

i think they are only doing paps every three years now (barring any previous problems i assume)
Sorry I'm a little late, but I could so relate to this today! I've also had cervical dysplasia (I had the LEEP procedure done - same idea as the cone biopsy I think?).
Anyway - I need to schedule my annual today too and was thinking the same things you've mentioned. Deading it but as you said, it's so important to stay on top of paps given what we've been through.
Thinking of you!
It's twin girls!! Born on 11-2-14!
