Embryo Quality?? Can some explain

How do they rate the Embryos and what does it mean? I've seen some ladies explain it as a AA, B, C etc... My RE told me I had two embryos that were an 8.5+ with the others VERY good as well ... he would only transfer one because of my age and the quality. 

How do they grade and what does it mean?

advancedfertility.com has a comprehensive description of cleavage stage and blastocyst grading, but since your clinic uses a different grading scale it is impossible to know what that translates to. The best thing is to ask your RE or the embryologist to explain it to you, but regardless of what the grading is, they most likely transferred the best. The actual specifics of the grade only matters if your cycle fails and you need to consider next steps, as many perfect looking embryos fail and plenty of so-so ones make healthy babies.

Unfortunately not all REs use the same grading scale. You'll have to ask them directly. My RE has an awesome handout explaining each part of the grading scale (number of cells, symmetry etc) maybe your clinic does something similar?
