Canceling Parenting subscription from Motherhood

I hate to be that person, because I know I saw a post about this earlier today, but does anyone know how to unsubscribe after the 1 free issue of Parenting - Early Years magazine that they offer as a promo at Motherhood, Pea in a Pod and Destination Maternity stores?

  • I just did it this week.  I sent an email to parenting@emailcustomerservice.com.  Make sure you give them your name, address, and the numbers above your name on the issue you received. They responded within 24 hours!

I was upset the other day because of this...  The lady at MM said that I would get a test mag to see if I liked it and if i didnt i could cancel.  Well the other day checking my bank account the magazine company took out for the subscription thus over drafting my account.  I was PISSED!  I never got the "free" mag at all and when I called the lady on the phone told me that it takes weeks to get it the free one...  None the less they told me that they would put the 20 bucks back into my account in 2 billing cycles...  Doesn't fix my overdraft fee though...  kinda shady i think...

Call your bank and explain that the overdraft fee was for a faulty charge and ask them to refund it. There's no guarantee that they will, but it is absolutely worth a shot. I know I've gotten overdrafts refunded just by asking - even the time when it was just a calculation error on my part. Especially if you're a good customer in other ways, those are easy to get reversed.
