How many swimsuits?

If you are going for a week at the beach or a week at someplace with a waterpark, how many swimsuits do you pack for LO?  Trying to decide whether I am being wacky on the suit issue.

Re: How many swimsuits?

  • 2-3.  At least 2 suits in case one isn't dry by the time you need another one.  Assuming you don't have access to a dryer.

  • We are going away for 8 days this summer.

I am packing a swimsuit for each day for DD because in addition to what I bought, a friend of mine gave me a few like-new swimsuits that her DD outgrew from last year, so I actually have 11 swimsuits for her for this summer.

I bought 4 for DS and plan to bring a bottle of Woolite and handwash them and let him wear each one twice while we are there.

  • If using a swim diaper I would have 2 suits. If no swim diaper I would have 3.

  • 4-5, like PP said though, depends on if a swim diaper will be used. We're leaving for Disney in a week and I plan to bring about 4 swimsuits for S. We'll just hang dry ours after we get out of the pool or the park as we won't have access to a dryer.

  • We went to Myrtle Beach last summer for a week, and I had 3 swim trunks and shirts for ds.  He was in a swim diaper too, so it worked out.  This year, we're not going anywhere, so I'll probably just buy one.

  • We just went to the Bahamas for a week and had 2 swimsuits for her.
  • I have 4-5.  We swim a lot and there is nothing worse than putting on a cold, wet bathing suit.  We take lessons in the AM, go back after lunch, and sometimes go again in the evening.
  • Wow LOL! I only buy them each 2 suits for the summer so that is all we take. We dry them every night so if they wear one in the morning & one in the afternoon they always have a dry one. We don't tend to go more than twice a day though. Now that they're older I may take them to the pool during the summer by myself more so maybe I'll get them a 3rd suit but that would definitely be my max.
