Sewed up not even after C-Section

So, I know that this really shouldn't be a big deal, but it really bothers me whenever I look down. I ended up having to have an unplanned C-Section, and they didn't sew me up even, the top of my incision my line of nigra shoots to the left then under the incision it starts in the middle again about a centimeter away. Does the line fade away a lot or when does it normally fade away? TIA

  • Is your incision vertical?

No, it is horizontal. It is just where the skin on the top and the skin on the bottom don't match up. So where the incision and the line of nigra should be parallel, they aren't since the line of nigra does not meet at my incision. I wish I could just draw a picture on here, lol.

They aren't parallel. They are perpendicular if your incision is horizontal. I'm confused.

Omg, I meant perpendicular. I guess the no sleep is starting to get to me.

  • The line will fade. I don't remember exactly when mine faded last time, but I know it couldn't have been longer than 6 months.

  • My incision looks a little off this time (3rd c/s). I never really looked before so it may have looked the same before.  The last two times my incision ended up shrinking to be much smaller and it was so low I could barely see it.  So, I have a feeling it will do the same this time.  I don't have a linea nigra from this PG, but don't remember seeing what you're describing before.

  • I can't even see my scar. I have that "mud flap" of skin that i've had since I had my DS 6 years ago. LOL. But your linea nigra should fade, then you won't even notice.
