So I went in for my regular appt and they said I had protein in my urine. They were concerned because usually I am good. Since they are monitoring my blood pressure, this sparked some concern. Then they asked about fetal movement and I said well it has decreased slightly, but nothing that had me too concerned. She is running out of room. It happens. Then when they saw some spikes in my blood sugar over the past two weeks. Well I had contacted the Maternal and Fetal Medicine office about it. They are the ones monitoring that. Well, I had faxed in my sugars and called and hadn't gotten a call back. So today I had an impromptu stress test and u/s. Lovely.
All in all, baby is girl is fine. She stuck her tongue out the entire u/s and wiggled like you wouldn't believe. Basically telling the docs to lay off a little. I am glad they are so thorough. I can't deny that. It all just started to freak me out thinking something was wrong.
Hope all you suggah mommas are having a great Monday.
Re: Darn docs scaring me!
You poor thing! Why do they do stuff like that???? After my "everything looks great ultrasound" last week, I got a phone call this morning saying "everything looks good, but your amniotic fluid levels are high, so we have scheduled you for a follow up u/s on wednesday...WHAT?
So I can relate, even though I don't have GD, it's so unnerving to have all these additional tests.
