Rolling=bad for sleeping

In the past week, LO has gotten really good at rolling over and over.  The problem is he's doing it in the crib sometimes in the middle of the night or during naps.  He'll roll and get himself stuck with his back against the slats and then he starts crying to be rescued.  After that he's always wide awake!  I'm hoping this will stop when rolling is not as exciting to him anymore.  Is anyone else going through this?

  • DD had a rough time when she first started rolling, but after about a week she got much better.  She is a tummy sleeper now

  • DS went through this as well for couple weeks before he decided he liked sleeping on his tummy and could go back and forth easily.  Now we've moved on to having to rescue him when he gets his legs and arms stuck outside the crib...
