Clomid over time...ETA

Do the number of side effects you have with Clomid elevate over time?  I don't have as many side effects when I take my Clomid anymore (after four cycles), but I seem to be more hormonal just before my period.  I could be really upset by the infertility, (and am) but it is also the tears, headaches, and feeling of nausea before my period.  Does this happen to anyone else?

ETA:  I think what I want to ask is if it is typical to have worse PMS on Clomid than usual.   Thanks.

    My side effects continued for all cycles while taking Clmoid - both while taking the pills and after.  I have had much better luck with Femara, no side effects at all for me.

    Dx: Anovulatory, Hashimoto's, Luteal Phase Defect, Elevated Prolactin.
    Began TTC - April 2011
    April '11 natural - BFN
    May '11 natural - BFN
    June '11 - BFN (consult OB) DH - semen analysis (good)
    July '11 - Clomid 50 - BFN Short luteal phases - 9 days
    Aug '11 - elevated prolactin discovered (31)/MRI - need to take Parlodel until we succeed - natural BFN
    Sept '11 - Parlodel only - BFN DH to specialist - semen analysis #2 - perfect
    Oct '11 - Parlodel, Clomid 50 - BFN
    Oct/Nov '11 - Parlodel only, ultrasound to check for ovulation - not ovulating - BFN
    Nov/Dec '11 - Parlodel, Clomid 100, Ovidrel - ovulated! Longer Luteal phase - 13 days! - BFN
    Dec/Jan '12 - Parlodel, Clomid 100, Ovidrel - ovulated!(14 day luteal) - BFN
    Jan/Feb '12 - Day 3 AMH/FSH - normal. Parlodel, Clomid 100, Ovidrel, IUI #1 - BFN
    Feb '12 - first appt w/ RE 2/6/12
    Feb' 12 - natural, HSG - all clear. BFN
    Mar '12 - Parlodel, Femara 2.5, IUI #2, HSG trigger and booster - BFN (12 day lp)
    April '12 - Parlodel, Femara 2.5, IUI #3, HSG trigger and booster - BFP! 4/22/12 Beta 1 - 54, Beta 2 - 95, Beta 3 - 92. M/C (All Clomid rounds were Clomid 3-7, Estrace 8-12, Prometrium 17-beyond)

    My side effects varied with each cycle and the symptoms you are describing (crying, headaches, etc) are the same s/e that I experienced at times.
    DX: Anovulation
    TX: IUI #1-4 = BFN + 1 c/p
    IUI #5: Clomid 100mg + Bravelle + Trigger + B2B IUIs + 800mg Progesterone = BFP!
    Beta #1 (14dpiui): 460 Beta #2 (16dpiui): 998 Beta #3 (23dpiui): 21,832 Beta #4 (29dpiui): 129,771

    This was the same for me. The side effects were far worse the 1st and 4th (which was my 1st dosage again after a 3 month break) cycle.

    This was the same for me. The side effects were far worse the 1st and 4th (which was my 1st dosage again after a 3 month break) cycle. 

    I have only had 2 cycles but the second one was much easier s/e wise than the first.

    Maybe, what I'm saying is does Clomid make PMS worse?

    This...  I just finished my second round.  The first round I was in SUCH pain, I was questioning if I would be able to do it again.  This second round I was afraid I wasn't responding since I felt nothing! Night and day....

    Married: 7/2/11 TTC: 12/2011
    Me: 31, PCOS DH: 37, low morph and low counts

    4 medicated TI, 1 IUI+Femara, 1 IUI+GonalF = BFNs
    IVF #1 Lupron/GonalF (Dec 2012)= 30R, 21M, 21F with ICSI, 18 HIP frosties!!!
    FET in August 2013

    I have been wondering that.  My first cycle of clomid was awful 50 mg) - but round two felt perfectly normal (even w/ increase to 150mg) - made me wonder if it actually was working.

    Clomid made my PMS much worse.  Last cycle I got horribly moody and crampy and when AF finally came I burst in to tears and got hysterical for a half hour.  I'm normally pretty rational, but now the week before AF I am pretty crazy.
