Am I completely insane to want to buy crib bedding when we aren't even TTC yet!!?? Thing is I've had my eye on this crib set for over a year now and I just looked online and it says "quantities limited" I called Jc Penny and they don't know if their stock is just low or if it is something getting discontinued. I also live in Canada so it would cost a lot and would be a mission to get. But I can't imagine my nursery without it. Other thing is multiples run in my family and I will most likely be taking fertility drugs. Do I dare buy two? Yup I think I'm insane!

I agree. I'd say, so ahead and buy it and put it away somewhere.
P.S. I have a closet full of baby stuff, but in my defense I can claim that most of it is for my business.
We had a nursery bedding set for a couple years. It was a pottery barn one that we loved & it was being discontinued. It was also like 50% off. Its primary colors so we agreed to use it no matter what sex baby we had. This is now Gabriel's decor. In the end, we're glad we had a boy because we now wanted a more feminine girl set up.
Not sure that I could have bought two, but that's up to you. Unless you had twins, perhaps you would just re-use the one set? Chances of twins aren't that high, but who knows--we never thought we'd have twins. ; )
We bought a picture frame while we were TTC that we now love a special momento from the time that we were dreaming of him.
I did buy several things right after we conceived that I won't be using after all (we found something "better" later on), so as long as you are OK with the idea that you MIGHT not use it in the end if your theme/dreams change, then go for it! In the stressful planning time and then TTC time, it's nice to have something to look at dream about:)
Now I'm curious what this set looks like....
I didn't respond to the one or two part. Even with a singleton, it's not bad to have an extra set for accidents, one can be in the wash, etc.
Can you get it shipped to Canada easily?
