Cloth Diapering

**CraftyBaker**

Not sure if you'd see this if I posted it on the thread about slimmest diapers, but I wanted to mention:

You won't be able to use the Applecheeks envelope system as an AI2 like you said you would.  It's a pocket diaper, which means that the cover needs to be changed at every diaper change.  If you're looking for a system where you can just change an insert if the diaper isn't poopy, check out Flip diapers.

  • Hmmm. This is where I was getting this info:
    https://applecheeks.com/product-support/diaper-care-instructions/

It says you can change your insert up to 3 times before changing the envelope cover. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something (it happens sometimes). Maybe I just don't understand the AI2 method completely.... I'm a newbie to all this.

  • If you just lay an insert in the cover as opposed to stuffing it, sure.  I've never used Applecheeks, but I can't imagine laying an insert in a pocket style diaper being particularly effective at keeping the inner of the cover dry.  Flips are awesome hybrids though, and would work how you're describing.  :)

  • Thanks for that info! I'm sure I'll be trying Flips down the road, too! I'm still learning.
