There is a woman in this thread who flat out admits to leaving her 4 and 5 year old home alone while she walks her other child to the bus and evidently it is just no biggie to everyone else! Seriously?? 3rd tri has some priority issues.

First off the article about the dog seriously makes my stomach churn.

Secondly, that bish is crazy for leaving her 4 and 5 year olds there. Something horrible could happen in way less than 10mins. Way to go calling her out. I'd like to think that will make her rethink her morning routine, but I'm sure it won't. *sigh*

She'd get ripped a new one on 12-24, they tweak over people checking the mail or unloading the car while a kid naps.

I didn't read the article because I knew it would be horrifying. She would get totally torn apart just about any where else. I don't know what is going through 3rd tri's head.

Well, I have left my 4 year old alone in the house watching TV while I have gone outside to shovel snow...and that takes me longer than 10 minutes. Flame away.

Right outside the house =/= walking to the bus stop. Your child can get to you quickly to let you know if they need you, but hers cannot.

I saw that last night during one of the middle of the night feeding sessions. At least she is a good dog owner.

 

Re that article: MH showed it to me. We first thought it would be a pit because the media loves pit bull attack stories. It is sad, strange, and upsetting. How did the dad sleep through that? If I were his wife, I don't know if I could ever forgive him.

Even with the kids being good, what if something happened to her while her kids were home alone? I will admit that we will go over to the neighbor's back yard fire in the summer while DS is sleeping. We are in view of the house, have the monitor with us, and our dog is there to bark if anyone gets to sneek in. I would never go out of sight of the house am I wouldn't leave him when he was awake.
