Random screaming...

We made it through the 6 week growth spurt last weekend and Jane has done pretty well since then. She was extremely happy yesterday and even STTN fit the first time last night. Today has been a different story, though! She'll be playing happily and smiling all over the place or sleeping peacefully when all of a sudden she screams like she's in pain and is really hard to console. She doesn't usually scream like that and she usually gives some warning before she gets upset. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? I hate to see my baby so upset and apparently in pain!

    Khloe has been like that today as well...I am sort of wondering if it is her reflux bothering her. I am pretty sure that when we go to the doctor next week that they are going to up her medicine dosage.  Does your LO have reflux

    No, she's never shown any signs of reflux before now.  Can it develop so late?

    Maybe belly problems..needs to pass gas or burp? Maybe some gripe water would help.

    Also, how long does the screaming last? At 3 weeks my LO had a 4 hour scream marathon..I had already been thinking he had reflux, but knew he did after that!! He's on medicine Now, but randomly that will still happen. It is definitely a painful, hurting cry that lasts for hours!

    yes it can, DS's did... pay close attention to her body language if she arches her back or makes a sour face even a dry cough it could be acid reflux... its possible she will never spit up.  

    another thing is to monitor her BM's maybe having gas pains, I read a baby this small is still learning their body they sometimes cant figure out the passing of gas or having a BM and if pushing is required it may hurt. 

     I find I learned my baby boy best when it was just him and I all day and I tracked everything naps, feedings, diaper changes. etc.
