Exclusively Pumping?

I am currenlty EPing after my son was in the NICU for 30 days, and now I have returned to work full time. I have a huge supply so I have to pump quite often (sometimes up to 20 oz - yes 4 full bottles if I wait more than 3 hours!). It is so exhausting, but I feel like I spend all of this time cleaning and sterilizing the parts once I am home. Does anyone have any suggestions or pointers to make it easier? I am super lucky with my supply and plan to continue to feed him bm as long as we can..

Re: Exclusively Pumping?

  • That's great that you have such a good supply!  I EP'd for 9 months with my DS, and I pump a couple times a day and EBF my DD.  You can reuse your pump parts every time for a full day-just keep them in the fridge between pumpings.  That will cut down to only having to wash them once a day.  You can also pump into bags to save on having to wash bottles.  I hope that helps!
