I had mine at 26 weeks and it worked out perfectly. I was able to register before I got huge and uncomfortable. I was able to actually walk around the store and enjoy the experience. I was also able to really enjoy and have fun at my shower. It also left me some time to get everything in the babies' room and washed and put away. I think the timing was perfect. I thought i was too early at first but now looking back I'm soooo glad we did it early. I couldn't even imagine trying to do all that stuff now. Good luck!
Agreed. My shower was at 28w and I was in the hospital the next day with PTL. I'm thankful we got that one last perfect day of pregnancy before I was on mag, getting steroid shots, and on hospital bed rest for 10 days.

My 1st one will be when I'm 29 wks, and my 2nd one will be when I'm almost 32 wks. We'll see if I make it to the 2nd one! I told my mom that I wanted it before 30 wks, but she wouldn't listen. The 2nd shower is also 2 hrs away. I asked my OB the other day, and she seemed okay with it. My next apptmt will be right before my 2nd shower, so I'll ask again.
I didn't have a shower for the twins, since they are #2 and #3, but I had my shower for DD1 at 33 weeks, and she was born the next week. I barely made it! I would definitely do it before 30 weeks, and I agree that the best time is probably around 28 weeks or so.
My shower is next weekend. I'm definitely glad it's early. I'm not that big,
but I definitely feel like I'm getting closer to that "hitting the wall" that happens.

The shower date is still a little up in the air...but planners are aiming for the end of May, which would put me around 24 weeks (possibly a little less, possibly a little more).
We've had adventures...so I'm keeping fingers and toes crossed that we won't have anything major come up between now and then...

I had mine at 26 weeks and I was able to enjoy it and slowly work on the nursery. Obviously I haven't had them yet, but PTL is such a high possibility, I wanted to be ready early for the piece of mind.
For me, it was great timing.

I just had mine at 22 weeks, 3 days. I probably could have waited up to another month but the timing was what worked for my host and for me. My bump is definitely big enough and I was glad to get it done now so I could enjoy it - I'm still exhausted from it so I don't know how those ladies do it in their 3rd tri - I would definitely aim for before then.
