So I ended up getting the used BJCM... now I'm wondering how to clean it. I want to clean it well since it belonged to someone else and I have no idea what's on it but I also don't want to use super harsh chemicals since my babies put their mouths on everything. WDYT?

I've also heard of people taking them to a DIY car wash or using a light power sprayer on their strollers.
From what I've read this week, while we've been dealing with a stomach flu and pinkeye, a cleaner with bleach is the only thing that will truly sanitize. But Seventh Generation has some effective cleaners I still use, and I use a white vinegar and water solution to clean most things.

I through anything that will come off in the washer, and then scrub everything else with a toothbrush and dishwashing soap. Then I put it out in the sun to dry.
As far as sanitizing, I think as long as it's clean, you will be fine (I don't think you have to use harsh chemicals to "sanitize" a stroller). If you put the cloth in the washer, I'm sure that will work great!
We've had a BJCM for almost 3 years and I never knew you could take off the cover to throw it in the washer!
(We bought it new though and it really hasn't gotten that dirty; we've just spot-cleaned with wipes.) Good to know!
I'll also have to see if I can do that with the single umbrella stroller we recently bought at a consignment sale.
