How did you feel after your membrane sweep?

I had mine at 4pm yesterday. I was crampy, had contractions last night. Then nothing. Then this morning I woke up to brown spotting. M/W told me to expect it so no biggie. Then all day i've had brown tinged mucous. Now tonight i'm seeing streaks of red, and very crampy again and i've been (TMI) in the bathroom half the day. I'm trying not to look into anything, because being only 1cm and thick I am *very* doubtful this will work... but just curious how you felt afterwards. Surprisingly on my 3rd child this was my first membrane sweep. I delivered my DS2 on my own spontaneously at 39+2. TIA!

Had mine today and so far a ton of random contractions and red spotting. When I had it done with dd my water broke 4 hours later and I started in with back labor (I was also being induced with cytotec so I'm not sure what it was). Hopefully this will lead to something but probably not knowing my luck!

With DS I started having more BH right after that lasted all day. By 3am they were very painful and got to 5 minutes apart. This time, nada except I bled a lot afterwards. I hope it works for you, I know you're ready to meet your LO!

I had mine done on Wednesday. Had pretty uncomfortable contraction off and on for the day, now nothing.

When you delivered DS2 did you have any pre-labor type symptoms?

When you delivered DS2 did you have any pre-labor type symptoms?

With him, I don't remember really far back (like a week before), but I had bloody show on a Monday morning, by Monday night I thought I had "the runs" and visited the bathroom alot, then realized I had regular contractions, when I went into the hospital was at 4cm, then delivered him Tuesday at 3pm. 23 hoiurs start of hard contractions to finish. I just can't remember if I had any of the BH turned real, etc. I wish I wrote it down

I've had mine swept twice and felt pain during the procedure, but nothing afterward. Right before the second sweep part of my mucus plug came out. During the 2nd sweep the rest of it came out so I had some bleeding the rest of the day. No contractions or abnormal cramping as a result, though. Just my typical BHs. I wish something would start! I'm ready to meet my baby.

I dont know the exact definition of a membrane sweep, as I too have never had one before this baby. But, with this baby my ob did stretch my cervix and that put me into labor. I felt exactly what you described. About 10 hours after I had that done my water also started to leak and once I got to the hospital about 12 hours after having it done my water gushed everywhere.
