Getting LO's picture taken

How often and who receives a picture?  Do you include the same round of people every time?

At Christmas, I sent out pictures to grandparents (3), and siblings  (4).  Now that DS is turning one, I had his picture taken again.

I bought pictures only for the grandparents, thinking that the siblings can receive a new pic every Christmas, but now I'm second guessing myself.

How did you handle picture frequency and distribution?

Hmmm, we have 2 Grandma's, 2 Grandpa's, 4 Aunt's/Uncles so I just always have enough to give to everyone.  We only see DH's side of the family a couple times a year so not of lot of opportunity to give them pictures, haven't really run into many problems.

We are terrible...we had pro pics taken back in October and gave them out to grandparents at Christmas (we gave extras to give to aunts and great grandparents).  We don't even do Christmas cards.  First birthday pro pics are planned, but we don't plan on sending them to anyone besides grandparents.  I don't keep pictures of relatives more than a few months, so I just assume that people can see them on facebook or via email.

I'm lacking in that department besides a family shoot at 6 mo and now his bday pics we haven't  taken any pro pics thus no one has gotten any pics. I post enough on FB for everyone to see I figured no need for prints and I'm more of the opinions if they want some they'll ask. I know someone that sends her every-three-months wallets taken at Walmart and some people i.e. me,  don't care about getting  all those pics( I go aww and then I throw them out lol). To DH's fam out of state I send pics by txt that's good enough.

You're nice! When we get pictures done of the boys, we only buy pictures for ourselves. If our family members want pictures, they can purchase them since our photog only charges $2/picture.

Our photog gives us the disk and I give a copy to my mom and MIL then I upload the pics to Walmart and everyone has the password to print them on their own.  I upload so many to FB though I think that no one really needs a print.
