We chose to circumsise. It was a personal decision that we do not regret one bit. While a topical numbing cream was applied before the circumcision, we never had him show any signs of bringing pain after the fact.
That being said, I think more and more people are choosing to not circumcise, so it won't be weird in locker rooms. And with teaching proper hygiene and sexual protection, I don't think it's necessarily less clean.

We did, and don't regret it. I honestly don't have a good reason for you though. It was soemthing that my H thought was important and since I am way less experienced with penises, I let him choose. I watched it being done, and T didn't even cry. We've had no problems with it thus far. We'll be doing it again if this one is a boy.
I didn't read all of the responses so I apologize if I'm repeating. It's a relative low risk procedure so I never fault anyone who chooses to do it, but I do think the following:
The decrease in infection of STDs is not a good reason to do it. It doesn't decrease the risk by so much that you'd tell your son he no longer needs a condom. Anyone having unprotected risk is at risk and the risk for uncirc'ed men is only the tiniest bit lower and definitely not low enough to warrant not using a condom.
I think the risk of infection from not washing is probably real, but how many of you are not going to teach your kids to wash their bodies? The risk from infection from not washing other body parts is also very real. For us, it wasn't a reason to circ.
Honestly, I think the only real reason to do it is that you have religious reasons to do it. But if people have aesthetic reasons to do it, I don't side-eye, it's just not something I'd do.
ETA: dh is circ'ed and wishes he were not. He doesn't see any reason for it and it seems weird to him that a piece of his penis is missing.

DS is circumcized. I didn't really have an opinion one way or the other so I told his father that since he had the penis, he could decide. He wanted his son to look like him. I haven't had an regrets.
I dated a guy for a while who was not, and I know that he was tormented in school and in the police academy. Also, if I'm being totally honest, even though he showered twice a day, I wasn't going anywhere near that thing unless he was FRESHLY washed. It got pretty gross. Maybe he was just extra sweaty? I don't know.
If this baby is, in fact, a boy, we will circumcize.
