Reuters article today....
https://health.yahoo.net/news/s/nm/birth-defects-more-common-in-ivf-babies-study
For mine, this is partial hogwash! I am sure it is not the treatment, just that those that need IVF may have issues that cause greater risks. A 37% increase means 3 per 100 to 4 per 100.
These sort of headlines misinform the stupid people out there!
Multiple ectopics, 2 failed IVF's
IVF #1: Did not get to ET, embies all failed PGD (major chromosomal defects)
IVF #2: We have 2 chromosomally perfect embies as a result of PGD (Boy/Girl) 1 failed the thaw (Girl) Transferred 1, yet ended as a c/p

Seems a little alarmist IMO...
Although, my clinic is very big on telling u the risks of ICSI. They ONLY do it if there is a need. They feel the force fert does raise ur chances for something to be wrong. You have eliminated the natural selection.
I had to sign many consents saying i was aware, and that i knew they rec CVS or an amnio if u become pregnant.
Like BeeBee, people are going to do it anyway. I knew the risks, but it was my only option for a bio baby with dh.
