PSA: miracle solution for white clothes

I posted this in the post below about white clothes with yellow stains, but it is so amazing that it seriously warrants its own post, especially after reading the responses that said the clothes would have to be thrown out.  This solution has never failed me!  It works on all white clothes...it's amazing.  Fill your kitchen sink with the hottest water possible.  Mix equal parts bleach and powdered dishwasher detergent (cascade) and be sure it dissolves.  I usually use about 3/4 cup of each.  Put the onesies (or any other white clothes--it even gets out nasty deodorant stains) in to soak for a few hours, then wash on hot water with your other whites.  You will seriously be amazed.  I never have to throw out white clothes anymore!
