  • For some reason I hate the term "binky". It just bothers me...I prefer paci. I guess when I was little I used to call mine a "Ni Ni" like "night night" because my mom would always give it to me at nap or bed time.

  • My mom always called it a bobby.

  • I have yet to ever talk about pacifiers off the bump, so it hasn't come up, but I've only heard "pacifier." My grandmother emailed something about "nuks," which requires a google search to translate,

  • My parents called it a Nuk. We call it a "rasser". From a little boy I used to babysit. His way of saying "pacifier". It just stuck with me.

  • We call it a dummy.  In N. Ireland where my husband grew up, they are called dummy teets as are nipples for bottles.

  • I call it a paci and a binky...whichever comes to me first honestly.  My family has always called it a binky, so that's where I got it from, but when I was a nanny they called it a paci, so I started calling it that too.
  • DD1 started calling it a mo-mo for some reason, so that is what we call it now.

  • i am sad to say I call it a pabby. Embarrassed  I hardly gave one to my first two children, but the babysitter did with DD#1 and she called it a pabby and as much as I hate that term it just stuck!  I cant stop saying no matter how hard I try.  I used the term with my two nephews and now my sister says it too.  uhg.

  • paci. Binky annoys the heck out of me for some reason. We always grew up with a paci being a pacifier and a binky being our security blankets. That's what we say and MIL (who's here usually 3 days a week mind you) still gets them confused. It's not like it's a life changing mistake, but I feel like she's doing it on purpose some times!
