41w appointment - induction set for next friday :/

After waking up to some awesome diarrhea today thinking "it's a sign!" (luckily, that calmed down mid-day) I went in for my 41 week appointment today (40w 5d actually) - the midwife checked me and I am 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. She did a membrane sweep as well, which was not pleasant but not horrible (breathing deeply helped!) - and at least quick. Everything looked fine and I ended up getting a NST as well, baby has at least 10cm of fluid in there and a healthy heart rate and plenty of movement so as long as all is well, I can continue waiting for spontaneous labor until next Friday, which is the induction date.

My midwife was cute and said that once she schedules the babies to be evicted, they usually like to come out right away! She also told me to go home and have sex with hubby bc the combo of that, plus the membrane sweep seems to help things along. We'll see! :- ) I noticed that things started to get a bit more crampy and feeling very heavy down there tonight when I was resting. No painful contractions, just BH so far though

Crossing my appendages that all this activity will lead to something. This kid is getting way too comfy in there. Next week I am definitely going to start trying acupuncture to see if that will nudge him! I would really like to avoid an induction.

Whoa, you have to maybe wait a whole week?!  Thoughts are with you, hang in there!  You never know, could be by the time this weekend is over you have a baby!

I drank a ton of pineapple juice and she came that weekend. Could just be a coincidence but I wanted to share.

Yeah - I'm fine with that as I would much rather have a spontaneous labor than be induced. But we'll see how I actually feel in a week! :PI hope you're right about the weekend.

I think I've eaten 5 pineapples in the last 3 weeks and nothing - hehe. I bought another one today anyway. Luckily, I love them
