My son was born April 6, 2012 at 5:10pm by c section. His due date is May 17th. He will be 2 weeks tomorrow. He was born at 34 weeks 1 day, so his adjusted age is 36 weeks 1 day. he had severe iugr, and fell off the chart during pregnancy. always had low fluid, but it dropped to under 4 cms the day before the cs, also the placenta aged prematurely and quit working. he was born at 3 pounds exactly, and as of today is 3 pounds 1 ounce. We have a very long nicu stay coming up. They told me he will be there well past his due date, just because of how slow he grows. He has been on room air since birth, and has been nipple feeding since birth. hes up to 17 ccs of formula every 3 hours. The only issue we are having ( besides slow growth) is a hole he has in his heart and could possibly need surgery. When I find time to go on my computer I will post a picture of my beautiful little boy. Im on my phone, so I apologize for the giant paragrapgh and lack of spell check & proper spacing. My phone has a mind of its own.
