DD is 2 and has a stammer-- it started around a month or 2 ago and has gotten much worse lately. I have read online that this is not uncommon for the age most of what I have read basically says to be sure that we are speaking slowly and with pronunciation with her and that it will resolve itself. I have contacted a speech therapist to do an evaluation, but wondered if anyone else had a similar situation and what you are doing or have done to resolve it? TIA!
Re: 2 yr old with a stammer
You're doing the right thing, and at the right age. Early intervention is key when little ones develop speech impediments of any kind. Let the therapist do the eval and he/she will recommend next steps.
THis! We have been going through this for about a month now. It gets a little worse and then better. Hopefully just another one of those stages!
