Sleep help?

My b/g twins are 6.5 months old (5.5 adjusted). My daughter has always been a great sleeper-until the last 2 weeks. She has been waking up multiple times per night-not wanting to be feed or anything, almost just wanting to see us. She'll stop automatically when she sees me, and as soon as i walk away from the crib, she'll start up again.

She's also been giving us more trouble when going to sleep-she used to be the one that didn't make a peep, but now, she'll cry half volume, then stop, then cry half volume, then stop (continuing until either falling asleep or full out crying). I know she's trying to get me to go in-and I will wait her out (unless she is crying full volume).

I don't know what to do. I just know I can't keep going waking up like 5 times per night-I didn't even do that when she was just first born!

Any tips? Suggestions? Books to read? Earplugs?

Thanks so much in advance!

Re: Sleep help?

  • Is she teething? My girls are only 4 months, but I have heard that could usually cause them to wake up. Maybe some tylenol before bed or Oragel.

I agree with PP that trying some tylenol before bed couldn't hurt.  Also with my girls they have weeks they sleep like angels and some weeks where they do wake up several times and fuss for 5 or 10 min.  I almost never go in and get them, they pretty much settle themselves back down and while it feels like they are crying forever when I watch the clock it's not really that long.
