Who has an Ikea crib?

Would you recommend it?

I used a 'Gulliver' crib for the first 12 months and it was great!  The look was really clean and minimal so it would work for just about any nursery.

The only thing I didn't love about it was that it only had two mattress settings.  The lowest setting seemed VERY low and for a shorter person like myself (5'2) it would have been awkward to lift a bub in and out of.

I have two Gullivers and they have held up very well.  By the time we put the mattress at the lowest setting, my kids were pulling themselves up so it wasn't a problem since I too am short.  At least that's how I remember it.  Ones a toddler bed now and we'll probably get him a big boy bed over the summer since he's getting too tall.

I love my IKEA crib.  We have taken the side off and she has used it as a toddler bed for about the last year or so.  The two settings really isn't an issue, because by the time you are ready to move it down, your little one is eager to get out!  My DD will be getting kicked out in the fall to make way for the new addition when they arrive.

I love our Ikea crib - this will be baby no.3 in it - it's been through 2 moves and is still like new (I don't think they make the one we have anymore, it was part of the Lesvik line I think).

The lowest setting is really low in comparison to most other cribs - but here is no fear even with tall babies/toddlers that they'll get out.

Only negative is that right now I am finding it hard to get DD2 out of it being this pregnant if she's not standing up!
