Hadley Rose Arrived 4-12-2012

Just now getting around to posting that I have an outside baby!! She was born last Thursday at 11:19am. She is doing absolutely fantastic and BFing like a pro Big Smile

Birth story:

I was at work on Weds. (4/11) night and started having contractions around 10pm. They started getting a little more regular and a little more painful so my co-workers started timing them. I figured they would just go away so I drank some water and tried to ignore them. Everyone at work finally talked me into letting the midwife on call check me and see if anything was going on. I was 2-3cm and 70% effaced. I continued to work and the contractions continued to get closer and stronger. Around 1:15am she rechecked me and I was a good 3cm and 80% effaced. Since there wasn't much change I just decided to to have my husband come get me so I could shower and soak in the tub to see if they would ease up. After about an hour at home I decided it was time to go to the hospital I was going to deliver at. We arrived there around 4am and I was 4cm and 90% effaced. I decided to go ahead and get an epidural since the nubain only helped me through about 4 contractions. After the epidural I was 6cm and 100% effaced with a bulging bag of water. The OB on call broke my water around 7:30am and I was only 6-7cm. There was a point when they thought they would have to augment my labor but then, even though I was absolutely NUMB, I felt something a little different. I was complete and a +3 - +4 station when I started pushing. It was so hard to push when I couldn't feel anything but after about 15-20 mins of pushing Miss Hadley made her debut!!
