Cloth Diapering

Moving across the country...

So, in about a month we'll be moving across the country. Do I dare attempt CD-ing? I really really don't want to use sposies, but thinking about washing CDs in hotel washers kinda skeeves me out. Plus, we're hoping to stay at campgrounds for 2 or 3 of the 5-6 nights of travel. WWYD? are CD's doable? If not, what sposie do you recommend?

  • As far as "public" laundry machines are concerned...that's what we use regularly anyhow. So, if it were me, that part wouldn't worry me. However, finding the time to do the laundry on a long trip might be more difficult.

  • Flushable liners might help get rid of the bulk of the poopy waste so you don't have to cart it around with you.

  • Totally doable as long as you have enough diapers for in between washings. And do laundry when you pull into the hotels at night.

  • Doable, but honestly, I use sposies to travel now.  Bambo diapers from Amazon are what we use. No chlorine, but they do have the gel beads.  And they aren't cheap, but they don't bother my daughter's sensitive skin.

  • I'd be stocking up on Flips disposable inserts.  You'll be driving all day, staying in a campground, having to use hotel washers... for less than a week, that would be more hassle than I'd be willing to do.  It would be one thing if I weren't in a car for a week...

  • I just moved from Oregon to Texas a couple weeks ago almost and I used disposables. It was just easier. I packed up all my CDs and started again once I got to our new house and had our washer and dryer again. It would have been such a pain trying to do CDs while traveling etc.

  • We will be moving to the other side of the world soon. During the ten days before we travel, traveling and until our stuff arrives - we will be in sposies or Flip sposies. At $3.00 a wash which doesn't include prewash or extra rinse - isn't affordable to do CD laundry at the hotel. I am dreading it. I may send half my stash to post ahead of time so that fluff is there waitingfo me.
