Cloth Diapering

Rash from something I ate or CDs??

Hello ladies,

I just started using CDs on my 10 week old last week.  I use them during the day and sposies at night for now. My stash is primarily used AIOs and pockets that I bought from a co worker.

Yesterday DD started to develop her first rash and it came on very quickly. She is never left in dirty or wet diapers for long and use CJs butter whenever she gets pink at all.  By nightfall it looked pretty bad.  Early this morning I started putting some cream that I used for the starting of thrush for me and it already looks better...   (I had thrush start a month ago and DD never got it and it's gone from me).

The only other thing I did different yesterday was have a shake with some whey protein in it...  Do you think that may be the cause or a yeast problem?  I hate to strip the CDs for nothing...  Thoughts?  TIA!!

  • I've only had rash issues when he was in sposies in the first week or before I gave up dairy. If I were you I would try stripping them first to see if it's the dipes.

  • How did you prep the diapers you bought from a coworker? I would never use used diapers without stripping or bleaching them first. Your LO could have an allergy to the detergent that was in the diapers or inherited the yeast from the diapers.
