Cloth Diapering

One size fits all?

Hello everyone, I'm new here.  I'm 35 weeks and I'm definitely into cloth diapering.  I plan on using disposable diapers for the first few months but then getting into cloth later.

I've been looking at a lot of different brands of AIO and pocket diapers and some have "one size fits all" diapers while others have S, M, L (or the like).  It seems like just getting the one  size fits all makes the most sense.  Then I don't have to buy a ton of S, then M and then L.

Will they really fit from 10 lbs (ish) through potty training?  How realistic am I being with only wanting to buy the one size fits all?

 Thanks!!  Katie

Re: One size fits all?

  • Most OS (one size) diapers fit at 13lbs despite the diaper claims. After that, yes, they do fit through potty training.

Some people have better luck with fit with the sized diapers. It's really all up to personal choice/your baby.

  • Most one-size diapers will fit from a few weeks old (varies, usually somewhere between 1 month and 2 months) to potty training. The downside is they're bulkier on the smaller settings than a sized system, and they may wear out after 1 kid. Snaps tend to last longer than aplix.
