how many servings of dairy per day?

I googled but I can't find a straight answere and was hoping someone here may know. DD is recovering from her first illness, the flu, and has been refusing milk. She is not sick anymore and will eat (and keep down) cheese and yogurt. She's just not wanting, for whatever reason. She always has liked milk so I'm sure she'll come back to it eventually but in the meantime I need to make sure she's getting enough dairy from foods. TIA!

  • My son just had his 2 yr doc appointment and she said only 3 servings of milk a day for him.

  • Now that LO is two, I do not worry about dairy servings - just about overall nutrition.  He usually has one 6oz. cup of milk before his nap and one 6oz. cup of milk before bed.  He also has a 4oz. yogurt a few times a week.  Other than that he doesn't get much dairy/animal products.  Our pedi was fine with this.  I wouldn't worry at all, especially if it's only for a few days while she's sick.
