Did you eat before heading into the hospital? I am not scheduled for a c-section and everything seems to be normal so I should be able to have a vaginal birth. I believe I am starting to contract and contractions right now are about 7 minutes apart lasting about 40 seconds.
Re: eating...
no but I wish I had- my last meal was 3pm on Sunday, I delivered 11pm Monday night, then I couldnt eat anything/ was on a clear liquid diet for almost 2 days.
Even if you're not hungry on your way- EAT!

Even if you ended up with a c-section, they will make you drink this horrible tasting (think flat lemon piss...or at least that was the flavor I got) to neutralize your stomach contents. And I dry heaved during the surgery, then threw up right after and I had no ill effects after that!
I should have and in my defense, I tried! But by the time dinner was ready, the first few bites made me feel nauseous. I planned to make myself some plain toast, but by the time I got my bag together, I wanted to leave RIGHT NOW
After I delivered shortly before midnight, the nurse said she could get me a cold turkey sandwich (which sounded wonderful!) Then she came back with a banana and some graham crackers because they had run out of sandwiches. It was a long wait until 6:30 a.m. when I could order a real breakfast!
