Taking out the microfiber to a Thirsties Duo Fitted

I'm having problems with microfiber holding onto stink with my hard well water.  Borax isn't working and I'm going to try Calgon and maybe Rock N Green as well, but I think I'm just done with microfiber at this point.  I've been using these with a hemp insert for overnight.  What if I removed the microfiber insert and doubled up hemp or hemp and a prefold?  I know that combination will work for DS overnight, I've had to do it before in a pinch.  But just so I don't have to do the whole hassle of trying to sell the diapers and replace them with something else.  I know it would definitely void the warranty, but I thought it might be faster and easier than reselling and shopping.

Am I crazy?

    Personally, I wouldn't do it.  I'd buy a cheap pocket first. 

    I would definitely soak it.  I'm a RnG girl, and I find soaks fantastic.  I'm also a HUGE fan of bamboo for the record :)  

    Another thing to try would be RLR.  I'm looking for some locally as we speak, but I think I'm ordering some off amazon since it got such great reviews below.
