Infertility Veterans

G&B- who watched? A vent included.

I won't do any spoilers in case anyone DVR'd it but I have a vent I just HAVE to make. When they were doing the log walk thingy at Miraval, Bill's sister being scared to walk across it mutters "I'm a mother of 3 children" . WTF? It just pissed me off. Hey Bill's Sis, your SIL has BC and can't have a baby. Have some sense please before muttering...

As for the rest of the show, WOW! I can't wait for next week's show.

On another note, DH told me via phone that we were invited to my neighbor's daughter's 1st bday party and said neighbor is pregnant again and due in Oct. WTF? I have to vacate my house that day as there is no way in he!! I am going to that party.. It is NOT safe for me to go outside of my own house with my very fertile neighbors. Feeling very sorry for myself tonight....

  • The latest episode said they were using a gestational surrogate, but they only have 2 embryoes. GUiliana can't have estrogen cuz it might stimulate the the cancer, But I wonder if she can stim. That does give you high estrogen but only for 10 days. Dr Schoolcraft said she should not be pregnant for 3-5 years but he never said if she could stim or not. Next episode will be the result of the surrogates pregnancy test.

It really bothers me when people throw out the mother card when it comes to things like that. As if people with no children don't have people in their life they need to be there for or who depend on them. I'm not trying to minimize the parent/child relationship, but then people with that type of relationship shouldn't minimize other people's interpersonal relationships (hope that makes sense).

It would always irk me in work situations where people with kids argued that they had first dibs on getting a holiday off because they have kids. As if childless people don't really need to spend time with their families over the holidays too...

I could not agree with you more!!  It is so irritating...there have been times at work when someone would need to travel and people would look at me to do it since I don't have kids.

I am AMA and all tests on H came back normal

  • Yep,  I had the same reaction to the SIL.  I even turned to DH and said I guess her life is more valuable then anyone else's since she can reproduce.   Indifferent

I thought the over reaction to the log crossing was ridiculous too.  At the most if they fell they would have drop 3 inches (maybe).  A little over dramatic for me.

McIrish,  sounds like a day at the spa is in your near future.

Very true.  I value my life just as much as anyone with a child!  Maybe they don't, but I do.

And about the party, gross.  Plan a weekend away, you'll be better off.  Hugs.
