I really like the name Brylee for a girl, but there is a 19mo old Rylie boy in my husbands family that we see alot and our kids would be around eachother. Are they too close??
It's a relative, not a sibling. I don't see what the big deal is. I once knew cousins who were both named Taylor (one a boy, one a girl), they were the same age and even in the same school. Different last names, though. Never seemed to be an issue for them and it was literally the same name.

I’m a modern man, a man for the millennium. Digital and smoke free. A diversified multi-cultural, post-modern deconstruction that is anatomically and ecologically incorrect. I’ve been up linked and downloaded, I’ve been inputted and outsourced, I know the upside of downsizing, I know the downside of upgrading. I’m a high-tech low-life. A cutting edge, state-of-the-art bi-coastal multi-tasker and I can give you a gigabyte in a nanosecond! I’m new wave, but I’m old school and my inner child is outward bound. I’m a hot-wired, heat seeking, warm-hearted cool customer, voice activated and bio-degradable. I interface with my database, my database is in cyberspace, so I’m interactive, I’m hyperactive and from time to time I’m radioactive.
It's not a deal breaker, imho. I have a Jackson and my sister has a Jack. Hasn't been a problem so far. But I really don't like Brylee. How about Brynn? Love!

Re: Are these too close??
In general, I think "if you have to ask, you already know the answer."
Brylee and Rylie are much too close. They rhyme.
I wouldn't sweat it though. You can do sooooo much better than Brylee. I promise.
All this.
Agreed.
Ditto!

This. I think you'll find you have done yourself a favor.
