Another shower question...

When do you give out the hostess gifts? At the shower, before, or after? There are so many women who would up signing up as hostesses that I almost prefer to do it afterward and one-on-one so that I can give different gifts without hurting anyone's feelings. (Some of the women definitely are putting a lot more time and effort into the shower than others.)

For my NY shower, I'll be giving them their gifts immediately after. We're driving back to VA the next day. For my VA one, probably right before. I'm not as worried about the timing of the VA one since my Mom, MIL, and Sister are hosting. They won't care if the timing isn't perfect.

I actually gave mine to her during the shower. It may have been a faux pas, but I was getting uncomfortable with me and my gifts being the center of attention.

I always do it at the end of the shower, but I don't think it really matters.

I gave my hostess her gift after the shower.

I have to be more covert.  My hostesses refused gifts.  So I am trying to figure out a way to slip it to them.

What are you getting for gifts. We don't normally do that kind of thing but my mother did and spent so much on the shower and then bought me the BOB stroller I wanted that was expensive. So now I want to get her a thank you gift but have no idea what to get.

My Mother and Mother in Law are hosting my shower.  Ahhh, I don't know what to get them!  A nice plant?  Some kind of jewelry?  Help!

I've always given them out one on one at the end of the shower, but I always get the same gifts for all.

I'm sending my gifts - a few hosts are getting flowers and a couple others are getting chocolate/coffee baskets.
