Wash routine for liners and wipes when using non-CD cream

I've had a terrible time with DD's bum.  First yeast, now high acid/pH level.  Pedi wants me to use a combination of Triple Paste and Maalox from now on.  Obviously not CD safe.

If you have to use non-CD-safe creams on an ongoing basis, what is your wash routine for your liners/wipes to get everything clean?  I know I have to wash them separately, maybe even get a separate pail and liner for them.

TIA!

  • After I spray them off, I wash them with my regular laundry.  I use BioKleen for my clothes, so I don't have to worry about detergent.

Have you done a vinegar rinse on your diapers?  This can help with ph.

Thanks!  I just did a vinegar rinse as part of treating the yeast.  I didn't know it can help with pH...good to know!

  • I routinely use non-CD friendly cream on my DD at nighttime. I keep a separate small wetbag just for fleece liners and cloth wipes that are used when I'm using anything with zinc oxide. They get thrown in the wash with towels.
