Dryer Balls

Does anyone use wool dryer balls when drying your diapers?

Have you heard anything about Woolyhead Organic Dryer Balls?

They're the deal of the day at fairytaledeals.com and I can't find reviews for them anywhere! I love that they're organic AND on sale (they're $11.97 for 2) but I'd like to find some input on them first. Are they truly organic?

Yeah I was also wondering about that. I read about wool dryer balls in general elsewhere and found some identical to those ones (on fairytaledeals) on ebay for $15.00 for 4 and free shipping. I just ordered them actually.

  • We use them.  I also bought them for a friend that has a slow-drying dryer and she noticed a *huge* difference.  BTW, you can good quality ones on etsy for about $4 a piece.

  • I actually just got done making my own dryer balls.  I found wool on clearance at Hobby Lobby.  They are very easy to make.

  • We use them. I got a pack of 8 off of Amazon for about $35-40. I haven't noticed a real difference in my laundry/dry time except that the laundry has a small amount of static, which never happened when we used liquid fabric softener and dryer sheets. Also, DH hates them bc they get caught in the clothes and he always manages to carry a few upstairs with the load of laundry. Besides that, I'm happy with them.

  • I made eight of them out of wool yarn.  They're really easy to make and made me feel kind of crafty :)

  • I just bought some off this etsy shop this week. I'm excited to try them instead of dryer sheets!

I will probably also continue to use some vinegar in the wash cycle as a fabric softener.
