First RE Appt. Yay! (sorta long)

So we had our first RE appt. yesterday, and boy do I feel like a huge weight is off my shoulders! It's not that we heard anything new or different, I guess it's that we can FINALLY stop waiting around and actually do something proactive and different. I didn't know what to expect, really, with the office at all. But I do know that they have a HUGE reputation to uphold, and the place seemed like it was set up great. My RE herself was a bit nerdy, but I am totally ok with that. It seems like she has a very aggressive approach, too.

Anyhoo, given that it was CD23, they did an ultrasound and could see that I did O, but on the right(blocked) side. Of course. So, I start Femara next cycle and we can see what happens. She actually said that we could choose to go straight to IUI next cycle if we want. Part of her reasoning was that since I've had a LEEP (and within the last year, no less) she has seen some problems with the cervix allowing the sperm to get in, and with CM production post op.

We've got to call our insurance back about IUI, DH talked to them the first time, and I love him, but he is def not as versed in all this IF stuff as I am. So he cant be certain if it's covered or not(probably not, tho). That being said, TI is probably the way to go until we can ensure ovulation on the left side. FX it works

Glad to hear that everything went well!  Our first RE appointment is Friday. I'm really looking forward to it - hopefully it will go as well as yours did!

Yeah, I didn't really know what to expect from the whole thing, and it's not like we heard anything different(except that she would rather use Femara in cases like mine) than we have heard before. I don't know, I guess it's just having a plan of action that makes me so satisfied/releived by the whole thing?
