Wearing DC # 2

Hello!

I am pregnant with my second child and have been thinking about "wearing" this next LO. DS will be 27 months when this next one is born and I would like to be more "hands free" around the house. I also don't want to spend a ton of money on a double stroller and then not use it. DS still needs to be strapped into the stroller when running errands or else he runs away...

My question - my biggest concern is going out to run errands and using the stroller for DS, but then having to potentially take a sleeping newborn out of the infant carrier to "wear" while out and about and waking the baby. Should this be a big concern? Or do most babies just go back to sleep after they've been jostled. I know this seems trivial...

  • Thanks!  I am leaning toward that.

  • I agree with Fred. I can take DS from car seat to carrier and back and he will stay asleep.  DD, no way.  Still, it is worth a shot because it's much easier to wrangle a ttoddler with the baby in a carrier rather than the bulky/heavy car seat, IMO.

  • DD always woke when I transferred her, but she either fell back to sleep or hung out happy in the carrier. DS sleeps like the dead so far, I get him out of the seat and into the Moby without so much as a twitch.
