bump on cervix?

I charted to get PG with my last daughter and just started charting again in Feb.  I normally don't check my cervix b/c I never could figure it out but this month while checking CM I noticed a pea size bump on my cervix.  It freaked me out and of course I googled it :/  They say it is common to have cyst on your cervix from the mucus membranes. Has anyone ever had one or felt one?  I had my annual in early Feb and everything was fine...should I still go get it checked out?   I would assume that if it was something it would of showed up on my pap.

    Did you get it checked out or did they just see it at a regular appt?

    I sweated it out for the month or so before my regular appointment.  I had my pap, the doc checked it out.  Everything is normal.  According to the doc (if I recall correctly), like you found on google, sometimes a membrane/duct gets a little clogged.  I also read somewhere on the interwebz that it can happen post pregnancy more often.

    Pea sized?  Definitely call your doctor today and see if they advise you to come in.

    Do you have a copy of TCOYF?  If I'm remembering correctly, they said those types of things were normal and would go away on their own.  Does it cause pain when you touch it?

    I get a bump sometimes in the same spot, and then it goes away.  I've gotten it checked at annual and told it wasn't an issue.  I would just have them look at it next time you go in.

    I have one. Have for years. It comes and goes. Don't sweat it, totally normal.

    The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago!!  I also freaked out and went in to see my doctor.  She said it was normal and it would go away.  It some kind of cyst that starts with a "N" and I can't think of the word right now.

    I have one that comes & goes. It's called a nabothian cyst. I think that's the N name that kat was looking for. There is a section in TCOYF about them.

    ETA: Pea sized sounds bigger than mine though. I would suggest just keeping an eye....er, finger....on it.

    No it doesn't hurt to the touch

    I put a call in to my Dr and they said it's probably nothing but if I wanted I could go in and have it checked out which I'm going to do next week.
