since when is a pomegranate (week 23) bigger than a cantaloupe (week 20)?

I've wondered this as well!

After doing a few google searches, here's what I came up with... 

Cantaloupes:  Cantaloupes range in size from 0.5 to 5.0 kilograms (1.1 to 11 lb), and may range in size from 7-12 cm in diameter (or 2.75-4.72 inches), but typically exceed 12 cm in diameter.

Pomegranates:   These fruits are large and always have round shapes about 3 inches in diameter (or 7.62cm).

Check out thebump's "How Big is Baby" page... notice that weeks 21-24 all have the same size estimates.

the fruits are horrible metaphors. I liked them really early on, olive, peanut etc. but now they are just dumb
