We were going to be trying almond milk instead of WCM but decided to go with a particular brand of WCM instead.  I spoke to Lisa Leake (who blogs at 100 Days of Real Food) and she said her family has recently started drinking Homestead Creamery organic WCM (available at Earth Fare) after doing some research on it.  I'd be comfortable giving that to DD, and will likely offer a couple of cups a day.  She likes other dairy products, so she won't need to be drinking 16-24 ounces of straight milk.
