I'm looking at the Britax website and it says the depth is 27 to 27.5 inches in the harness setting and 20 inches in the booster setting. Can someone explain what changes between the two settings that would create that 7 inch difference? I really would like to get the Frontier for my 2 year old so that my 3 month old can move into the Boulevard 70. Also, has anyone installed the Frontier in the third row of a Traverse or other cross over? I tried putting the Boulevard into the third row and there was hardly any leg room so if the Frontier is larger depth wise I am thinking it won't fit at all.

So the limits you are refering to relates to the harness/torso heigh maximums for the harness and booster, not the actual seat depth. The internal seat depth is only 14", so external won't be much more than that. It should fit fine anywhere in your vehicle, especially if you are only installing it with one other seat in the car. I've got two, both are currently in the captain's chairs in my minivan, I've also had one installed in the 3rd row when dd4 was an infant.
Just to make sure, you're talking about installing the Boulevard ff and lacking leg room, right? Leg room on the Frontier hasn't been a problem for ours, and my 6 year old is using one.
Thank you very much for that info! Yes I'm talking about the Boulevard FF. I'm not concerned about fitting them all in with just two but more when #3 comes along and possibly a fourth.
